DOK PANIC
"DokPanic" was an assignment under the service learning program SULAM at the Malaysian University for Society, designed to raise awareness about the impact of social media. Thirty-two students, guided by a lecturer, participated as part of the Media Law (COM540) course. The program focused on the theme "Moral Panic and Dogpiling" and targeted students from SMK PUTRAJAYA PRESINT 18 (1). It also engaged 30 participants in exploring and understanding these critical social media issues.
A DAY WITH HOCKEY
"A DAY WITH HOCKEY" program is a program conducted to reveal knowledge about basic hockey skills. This program involves only second and third semester students. Examples of activities that will be held during the program are passing, shooting and dribbling. These three activities are basic hockey skills that need to be learned to enable one to play hockey well. In addition, the purpose of this program is to attract the participants' interest in the sport of hockey.
EMISSION CMP
EmissionsCMP was a program conducted by third-semester students in the subject Communication Policy and Strategy, led by Dr. Yuslinda Mat Yassin, for 3 months from November 2023 to January 2024. The program, titled ‘Pipe It Up!’, in collaboration with Pengurusan Air Selangor, aimed to educate CMP students who were involved to learn about the policies associated with the provided topic, the pipe replacement program, as well as to shine a light on the operation. Students were divided into 3 teams according to the assigned platform, Instagram, Spotify, and YouTube. These platforms were chosen to reach a mass audience in a short time. The topic given required in-depth research by every team for their content. Many collaborations were made within the group and with external parties. The collaboration exposed students to the function and method of good communication that had been implemented during the session with the help and monitoring of our advisor, Dr. Yuslinda Mat Yassin.
CMAP SIRI CAKNA POLISI
Siri Cakna Polisi was held on 21 December 2023. It brought in Tan Sri Dr. Noor Hisyam Abdullah, a former Health Minister, to discuss the topic of "Kronologi Satu Tahun Bersama Covid-19".
BOSS BABBLE BASH
The Borderless Leadership Communication Training program (Borderless Leadership Communication Training Program) or simply Blossom was a leadership communication training program that aimed for inclusive participation in society. This program involved a total of 46 students from semester one to three and 30 students from semester four from the Department of Communication Management and Policy (MC248), Faculty of Communication and Media Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, to fulfill the requirements of the CMP542 (Leadership Communication) course. To ensure that this program had the essence of a quality program, we designed modules that had learning objectives, learning outcomes, and learning measurements to be achieved for each activity that was designed. The program was conducted entirely face-to-face in an appropriate setting to facilitate interaction between students and trainers, as well as to ensure effective knowledge transfer to participants.
UDIGITAL
Udigitaloka Competition - This debate was a program/competition (without application faculty budget) that benefited students. This was because the competition aimed to produce high communication skills and a good understanding regarding the Malaysian Digital Ministry (KDM). This was also the starting point for those who succeeded in this competition to build a network with external industry parties to open other collaboration doors with the Faculty of Communication and Media Studies in the future. This competition was able to register names in all digital media and help students know and understand the importance of the Ministry of Digital Communication.
